How to find us

Our address is: Painswick Rococo Garden, Gloucester Road, Painswick GL6 6TH

There are brown tourist signs to follow for Painswick Rococo Garden – we’re just off the B4073, ½ mile outside the village centre.

Accessible car parking is in our main car park. Car parking is free.

Extreme weather

In the case of extreme weather, we may have to close the Garden for your safety.  If this is the case, we will email you to let you know. You will be able to find the latest updates on our website, Facebook or Instagram.

Footwear

We recommend strong, sturdy footwear for your visit.  The Garden’s terrain is steep in places and some pathways are uneven. During wintry weather, pathways may also become slippery and muddy so please take extra care.

Refreshments

Our Café is open from 10am until 4pm. We’ll be selling breakfast baps 10 – 12pm and light lunches such as sandwiches and flatbreads 12 – 2pm. Gluten free and vegan options available. We’ll also have delicious cakes as well as hot and cold drinks. These can be enjoyed in our heated tipi or as you wander around the Garden.

Picnics are welcome: we have several picnic benches dotted around the Garden.

Dogs

Dogs on short leads are very welcome in the Garden and in the café tipi. However, dogs are not permitted in the Kitchen Garden for hygiene reasons.

Pushchairs and Baby Carriers

Due to the Garden being set in a valley with undulating pathways, we strongly suggest the use of baby carriers. A strong and robust buggy will cope, but it will be hard going on the bark chipping and up the hills – you’ll need good muscles!

Accessibility

The Garden itself was built in a hidden valley almost 300 years ago. Paths are both steep and uneven and only around a fifth of the Garden is accessible to wheelchairs. If you have any concerns about your visit, please ring the office on 01452 813204.

Please visit our FAQs page on the website.

If you have any other questions, please email us on or ring 01452 813204.
