Freedom to explore
Weekends and school holidays
How do you keep the kids happy and inspired without their games consoles or endless hours at the ball pit?
We have the answer.
Next time you’ve a free afternoon and the kids need to let off steam, head on up to Painswick Rococo Garden for some good old-fashioned fresh air and fun.
Go wild in the country
Discover our amazing maze or set their imaginations free in our rustic play area and quirky follies. Run free, play hide and seek, and explore to your heart’s content. Most of our paths are made of deliciously soft bark chippings – so no more grazed knees – and we promise never to tell you to shh, or to keep off the grass (unless safety is involved!). You can even bring your dogs (provided you keep them on a lead). The Garden is best explored on foot, it is not suitable for bikes and scooters.
Our family visitors love:
Our amazing maze
Not only does it have three centres, but its hillside position means grown-ups can direct from above.
Our holiday children’s trails
Perfect for five to ten year olds, our fun, children’s trails contains fascinating facts and challenging clues, so you can learn together and explore the Garden.
Our rustic play area
Complete with a woodland swing, climbing frame, balance logs and even its own wooden folly!
Our fairytale castle
Carved into a beech tree in our woodland glade, our beautiful fairytale castle is inspired by Schloss Neuschwanstein in Bavaria. Can you find it?
Our quirky follies
…or ‘the magical houses’ as they’ve been called – are just perfect for hide and seek.
Our friendly Café
Our temporary Café is a great place to get your breath back after an afternoon playing chase or tag. There’s currently a simplified range of delicious options from hot chocolate, to yummy cakes and snacks.
Painswick Rococo Garden is easy to reach
We are within half an hour’s easy drive of Cheltenham, Gloucester, Cirencester and Stroud. So pay us a visit and create new family memories together.
